I found an amazing photo of this clam linguine on Instagram, nestled in a white bowl on top of a rustic-looking wooden counter. Perfectly photographed in natural lighting, it just screamed beachside to me and I instantly added Seamore’s to my restaurant bucket list.IMG_9866IMG_9867

L:LAMU | Shanghai

慕 • LAMU
法式铁板烧 • French Teppanyaki
Multiple Locations

My parents took me to this French teppanyaki restaurant awhile back, and it was such an immersive dining experience for me! The entire dining table was a huge teppanyaki grill in a circular shape, and there was crystal decor everywhere paired with moody lighting. (Scroll to the very bottom for a video!)

You may have seen the signature bright orange coffee trucks parked around town, or the packaged coffee beans in your local supermarket, but did you know that MUD also has it’s own restaurant and café? Mudspot is an unassuming and rustic hole in the wall that serves the signature MUD coffee to-go, but if you shimmy past those at the bar you’ll also discover an entire covered garden in the back that serves all day brunch.DSC_0418 (1) Continue reading

I was lucky enough to receive the Homecoming VoxBox from Influenster last month, so I thought I’d share a bit more about what I received and what I thought of it! For those of you who don’t know, Influenster is an online community where social media mavens can get together to share news and opinions about products ranging from food to beauty. O: Oiji | NYC

East Village
119 1st Ave
New York, NY 10003
(646) 767-9050

Oiji is a new Korean restaurant in the East Village serving up creations from Brian Kim and Tae Kyung Ku, who are alums of Bouley and Gramercy Tavern. When I first heard about this, it had a 5-star rating on Yelp and rave reviews, so I knew I had to visit. The decor was neat and cozy but still spacious, and their tapas style food paired with thoughtful plating made the experience thoroughly enjoyable.

Finding the Perfect Gift: A Sephora Beauty Haul

I’ve gone a bit crazy with online shopping this month, and Sephora was just one of the many stores I (admittedly) spent a few hours perusing. As someone who doesn’t wear makeup that often but LOVES to hoard makeup, I sometimes find it difficult to justify purchasing the newest products when I know I won’t be able to use all that much of it. However, I recently subscribed to Birchbox and realized that sample sized products are THE answer. So with this epiphany… I began my Sephora spree. I’ve come away with a ton of gift ideas for myself (#treatyoself) and others that are both affordable and quite stunning.

L: Liquid Laundry | Shanghai

Kwah Centre 2/F

Liquid Laundry has been quite a force since it opened as the first gastropub in Shanghai. The industrial decor, commercial location, and comforting foods have made it an instant hit with locals and expats alike (service though, is a whole other story). The on site microbrewery that allows Liquid Laundry to offer it’s own house-brewed beer selection is another plus. Since my school holds alumni mixers here and many of my friends rave about this place, I decided it was time to give it a go.

B: Buvette | NYC

West Village
42 Grove Street
New York, NY
(212) 255-3590

Summer means more time to explore these beautiful gems in the West Village that I’ve been lusting after for so long. So on a beautiful sunny day my friend and I walked under the canopied streets and into this glorious restaurant, and were basically transported to France.

We were seated at the marbled counter so we had a great view of all the cooking action, as much of the brunch foods were assembled right there. And the aroma of bread filled the entire space, creating the perfect atmosphere.DSC_0010 DSC_0018 Continue reading

Triangl Swimwear Review: My Two Cents

As we all probably know, Triangl bikinis have been extremely popular for quite awhile now and although I’ve been on the market for a new bikini, not being able to try them on has stopped me from placing an order with Triangl. However in a moment of weakness, and after some in depth research, I finally ordered myself a new bikini.

I got my package and frankly, it was not what I was expecting based on all the reviews I’d read/watched on the Internet, so I thought I’d share my experience.
