Unboxing: Kat Von D VoxBox

Kat Von D has long been one of my favorite makeup brands. I’ve admired her palettes and loved her liquid lipsticks (not to mention her products are vegan and cruelty-free), so when the Lock-It Concealers launched I itched to test them out for myself. When I saw that Influenster was sending me not just one, but five products from the line to test, I was beyond excited. Being able to use multiple products from a range together is always how brands mean for them to be used, so getting the concealer, powder and their respective brushes made this VoxBox a really great one.

Hokkaido Trip: Beauty Haul

I went to Hokkaido a while back, and of course while I was there I had to stock up on some beauty and makeup items. I’d shopped in Japan before but for some reason this was the first time that I was able to take advantage of the VAT refunds. As always, it helps to do some research on the brand offerings and unique products that you might find in Japan. There’s usually not a lot of English on the packaging and the possibilities are endless. Also, know where to buy the things you want. Most of these were drugstore buys and found pretty easily, but some I had to go to their own storefronts for, while others I never would have found amongst all the choices had I not had a specific goal in mind. Finding the Perfect Gift: A Sephora Beauty Haul

I’ve gone a bit crazy with online shopping this month, and Sephora was just one of the many stores I (admittedly) spent a few hours perusing. As someone who doesn’t wear makeup that often but LOVES to hoard makeup, I sometimes find it difficult to justify purchasing the newest products when I know I won’t be able to use all that much of it. However, I recently subscribed to Birchbox and realized that sample sized products are THE answer. So with this epiphany… I began my Sephora spree. I’ve come away with a ton of gift ideas for myself (#treatyoself) and others that are both affordable and quite stunning.

Triangl Swimwear Review: My Two Cents

As we all probably know, Triangl bikinis have been extremely popular for quite awhile now and although I’ve been on the market for a new bikini, not being able to try them on has stopped me from placing an order with Triangl. However in a moment of weakness, and after some in depth research, I finally ordered myself a new bikini.

I got my package and frankly, it was not what I was expecting based on all the reviews I’d read/watched on the Internet, so I thought I’d share my experience.

Korean Skincare Haul

I’ve been spending a good deal of time in Ktown and Flushing recently, and noticed that there seem to be a lot of Korean beauty stores in those areas so I decided to check out their products! Face masks have been all the rave recently and they’re definitely an easy addition to any skincare routine.

Spring Sweater Weather

Here in NYC the winter can get quite long, but luckily for us it’s finally warming up a bit! However I’ve found that the cozy sweaters I’ve accumulated in past few months are just as perfect for transitioning into spring as they were for winter. All of these sweaters can be worn with jeans/leggings or layered over dresses and skirts.

Japanese Beauty

I’ve heard amazing things about Japanese beauty products since the first time I visited Japan. From skincare to cosmetics, I’ve had the pleasure of trying a few different products over time and thought I’d share my thoughts with you all. Many can be found on sites like Amazon or Sasa, but will cost you a lot more than if you were buying from within Japan directly. Many Korean brands are also sold in Japan. If you ever find yourself in the country, do some research and pick up a few things, you never know what might become your next beauty favorite!
